Why a community hub?

Information about halal food, masjids, prayer times, scholars and events is currently spread across many websites, social media pages and group chats. The Greater Memphis Muslim Community Hub brings it together in one trustworthy, easy-to-use place for families, students, newcomers and elders.

All data in this prototype is sample content for discussion purposes. Names of community organizations are used only to make the experience feel realistic.

Questions for discussion

  1. How should halal status be classified and verified — and who makes that call?
  2. Should masjids manage their own prayer, iqamah and Jumu’ah times?
  3. Who can submit or edit listings, and how are submissions reviewed?
